The Save Mart Companies Deploy SmartStack in 200+ Locations, Accelerating Business and Driving Down Costs with Predictive Infrastructure from Nimble and Cisco

SAN JOSE – July 11, 2016 – Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), the predictive flash storage solutions company, today announced it will showcase SmartStackTM, the integrated infrastructure solution by Nimble Storage and Cisco, at Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference. SmartStack is the only integrated infrastructure solution that predicts and prevents issues across the stack. SmartStack customers can take advantage of 11 reference architectures and four Cisco Validated Designs (CVDs), which now include the Nimble AF-Series All-Flash arrays.

“We are proud of the successful traction we’ve acheived in our collaboration with Cisco,” said Suresh Vasudevan, CEO of Nimble Storage. “SmartStack is the result of our commitment with Cisco to build a future of integrated, predictive infrastructure that overcomes scalability limitations and supports advanced management with powerful analytics. The Save Mart Companies is a great example of an enterprise that deployed SmartStack in over 200 locations and is experiencing unmatched performance and resiliency.” Save Mart Companies will participate in a Cisco Live session with Nimble and Cisco to lead a discussion on the future of converged infrastructure.

Enterprises today need proven, easy-to-deploy and scalable infrastructure to manage business applications and respond to changing business needs. SmartStack, which combines Cisco UCS Integrated Infrastructure with the Nimble Predictive Flash platform, delivers enterprise-ready solutions to quickly and easily deploy business-critical applications and radically simplify operations. By providing one platform to support all application needs, SmartStack accelerates business processes, ensures availability with predictive infrastructure, and significantly drives down costs. Over 1,000 SmartStack customers have reduced their footprint by up to 5–10x through more efficient computing, networking and storage; faster time-to-deployment through validated solutions and application-driven infrastructure; and increased uptime and automation with Nimble InfoSight Predictive Analytics that can predict and prevent issues across the entire infrastructure stack.

Since 2012, Nimble Storage and Cisco have delivered various SmartStack reference architectures and CVDs, providing a flexible, efficient platform to speed application deployments, scale infrastructure components independently and simplify overall management. The portfolio of SmartStack integrated infrastructure solutions backed by CVDs addresses a broad range of market segments and applications for customers, from midmarket, remote-office solutions all the way up to high-performance, mission-critical, scalable enterprise solutions. The four CVDs include a combination of UCS Integrated Infrastructure and the Nimble All-Flash CVD for its AF7000 array with UCS for VMware, CS700 CVD for 2,500 Citrix XenDesktop VDI users, CS700 CVD with UCS for VMware and CS300 CVD with UCS Mini for VMware.
