Exclusive Agreement Enables Toshiba to Resell and Provide 24x7 Support for Nimble Storage Customers in Japan.

San Jose, Calif. -- January 20, 2014 -- Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), a leading provider of flash-optimized hybrid storage solutions, today announced that it signed an exclusive master distribution agreement with Toshiba. As a result of the agreement, Toshiba Cloud and Solutions Company will distribute Nimble Storage hybrid arrays through its value-added distributor and reseller partner community in Japan. In addition, Toshiba IT-Services Corporation will provide local language 24x7 on-site support for all Nimble hybrid storage products throughout Japan.

Nimble Storage has developed a hybrid storage architecture engineered to address the industry's most pressing storage issues: delivering better performance and capacity at a reasonable price; providing integrated protection with rapid back up and recovery; and, reining in storage complexity. Purpose-built from the ground up, the arrays are based on the company's patented Cache Accelerated Sequential Layout (CASL) hybrid storage architecture that leverages fast read performance of flash and the cost-effective capacity of hard disk drives. Nimble combines this flash-optimized architecture with Nimble InfoSight™, a cloud based management service that delivers predictive support and operational simplicity through deep data analytics.

The need for hybrid storage solutions is being driven by the adoption of key IT initiatives, including virtualization, cloud and big data. This partnership allows Toshiba to fulfill the increasing demand for hybrid storage solutions in Japan.
