Leading Video Game Developer Works with Datec to Deploy Nimble Storage After Stringent Evaluation with Competitive Flash Storage Solutions

SAN JOSE – Sept. 27, 2016 – Nimble Storage (NYSE: NMBL), the leader in predictive flash storage, today announced that Datec, a provider of network and data solutions, has experienced accelerated momentum with the Nimble Storage AF-Series All Flash arrays, resulting in deployments following competitive evaluations. Most recently, Datec led a proof of concept (POC) for a leading video game developer evaluating flash storage providers. The customer selected a Nimble AF9000 All Flash array, which delivered performance that outpaced competitive solutions.

The gaming developer company began its search for a new storage infrastructure provider after SanDisk began discontinuing its larger capacity FusionIO cards. During the POC phase, Nimble proved to have far superior all flash arrays when compared to competition, with read/write speeds nearly two times as fast as FusionIO. Additionally, Nimble was unique in offering exceptional reporting capabilities through InfoSight, its predictive analytics engine, providing the customer with insight into its storage environment and validating performance and capacity numbers in real time.
